Chapter 01

Getting started.

PocketForge works best when you think in loops: gather ore, improve your tools, refine materials, create value, and return stronger when the climb slows.

What is it?

An indie blacksmith idle game.

It is about building momentum through connected systems. You start by hammering ore, but the satisfaction comes from how that simple action feeds upgrades, smelting, crafting, collections, and long-term mastery.

Opening moves

Your first session

  • Tap the forge to earn Hammer Points and gather starting ore.
  • Buy early hammer upgrades as soon as they become affordable.
  • Treat each new ore unlock as a milestone.
  • Once smelting opens, convert ore into bars instead of only hoarding raw materials.
  • When crafting appears, begin thinking about value, masterworks, and collections.

Core loop

Follow the bottleneck.

If a system feels slow, another system beside it is often the real bottleneck you are meant to improve next.
